Contact us
Most questions are answered fastest by the editorial office of the journal concerned. This page says who handles what.
Who to contact
We are a small society publisher, so there is no call centre and no ticket queue. Writing to the right person is the difference between an answer in days and an answer in weeks.
| If you need | Write to | Note |
|---|---|---|
| A question about a specific manuscript under review | The editorial office of that journal | Quote the manuscript number from your submission emails. |
| Submitting a new manuscript | The submission portal, not email | Choose the journal first; each has its own entry point. |
| Whether your topic fits a journal | The editorial office of that journal | Send the title and abstract; a presubmission enquiry is welcome. |
| Becoming a reviewer | The editorial office closest to your field | Register first, then write with your expertise keywords. |
| A concern about a published article | The journal’s Editor-in-Chief | Integrity concerns are handled confidentially. |
| A complaint the journal has not resolved | The publisher | Escalation route under our publication ethics policy. |
| Reusing a figure or article | Usually nobody: CC BY already allows it | Credit the authors and link the DOI. |
| A privacy or personal-data request | The publisher | Write from the address we hold for you. |
| An accessibility barrier on this site | The publisher | Tell us the page and what failed. |
| Membership of the Society | The Society, not the journals | Publishing and membership are separate. |
We aim to reply within a few working days. Editorial offices are staffed by working academics, so a message sent during a conference or a teaching block may take longer. If something is genuinely urgent, say so in the subject line.
Editorial offices
Each journal has its own Editor-in-Chief, editorial board and mailbox. Everything about scope, a manuscript in progress, a reviewer invitation or a published article belongs here rather than with the publisher.
- Green and Sustainable Environments
e-ISSN 3124-4610 · Editor-in-Chief: Dr. Tarmizi Taher
- Green and Sustainable Membranes
e-ISSN 3163-3919 · Editor-in-Chief: Januar Widakdo
- Greensusmater
e-ISSN 3047-910X · Editor-in-Chief: Aditya Rianjanu
When you write about a manuscript, include its number (for example GSENV-2026-0042) in the subject line. It is in every email the portal has sent you, and it saves an exchange of messages.
If you have a manuscript with us
Most of what authors want is in the submission portal rather than in an inbox, and it is available without waiting for anyone to reply.
Check the status
Every submission has a private tracking link, sent to the corresponding author, that shows the current stage without logging in. Sign in to the portal to see the full history.
Confirm co-authorship
Co-authors receive their own confirmation link by email. If a co-author did not get one, ask the corresponding author to check the address entered, then write to the editorial office.
Respond to an invitation
Reviewer invitations carry a signed accept or decline link that works without an account. Declining quickly helps the editor more than silence.
Starting a new submission
There is one portal for all our journals, and you choose the journal as you start. These links open the right one directly:
- Submit to Green and Sustainable Environments
- Submit to Green and Sustainable Membranes
- Submit to Greensusmater
What happens after you press submit, and what each status means, is described in Author resources. Please do not email manuscripts: files sent by email are not entered into peer review.
Raising a concern
We would rather hear about a problem than not. You do not need to be certain, and you do not need to be the injured party.
About a published article
Write to the Editor-in-Chief of the journal with the DOI and a description of what worries you. Concerns are assessed in confidence following COPE guidance, and may lead to a correction, an expression of concern or a retraction.
About a decision on your paper
Appeals go to the Editor-in-Chief in writing within 30 days, and are considered by an editor who was not involved in the original decision. The appeals policy sets out what an appeal must contain.
About how we handled things
Complaints about the process, or about an editor or reviewer, go to the Editor-in-Chief first. If the journal cannot resolve it, or the complaint concerns the Editor-in-Chief, escalate to the publisher.
Escalating to the publisher
admin@greensus.org
Tell us what you raised, with whom, and when. We acknowledge promptly, investigate in confidence, and answer in writing with our reasons.
Identities of people raising concerns are protected where they ask for it. The full procedure, including possible outcomes, is in Publication ethics.
Permissions, data & accessibility
You probably do not need permission. Everything we publish is under CC BY 4.0, so you may reuse, translate, adapt and redistribute any article or figure, including commercially, as long as you credit the authors and link the DOI. There is no form to fill in and no fee. The exceptions are material the authors reproduced from another source, which is marked in its caption.
Reuse & text mining
Bulk and machine access is welcome. The harvesting routes and crawler etiquette are in Terms of use. Write only if those routes do not cover your case.
Privacy & your data
Access, correction, deletion and objection requests go to admin@greensus.org. Send them from the address we hold, or tell us how to verify the request. See the Privacy notice.
Accessibility
Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and what failed, and we will fix it or provide the content another way. Details in our Accessibility statement.
To stop e-alert emails, use the unsubscribe page; it takes effect immediately and needs no reply from us.
