Author services

These are optional, paid services for authors who want help preparing a manuscript. They are not part of publishing with us, and they are not a shortcut into one of our journals.

What these services are not

They do not include authorship, data analysis you did not do, ghost-writing, or anything else that would misrepresent who did the research. We will decline a request that amounts to writing the paper for you, and doing so would in any case breach our publication ethics policy. They also do not replace the copy editing and typesetting we perform on accepted manuscripts, which is part of publication and costs authors nothing.

Before you pay for anything

Check the free material first. The author resources hub, each journal's author guidelines and our manuscript templates cover formatting, structure, figure requirements and the submission process. Many manuscripts need nothing more than that.

Substantive English editing that improves clarity, flow and structure so reviewers can focus on your science, not your sentences.

Our editors work through the whole manuscript, not just the grammar. They tighten the argument in the Introduction, make sure Methods can be reproduced, check that Results and Discussion say what the figures show, and align the Abstract and Conclusions with the evidence. Editing is done by subject-aware editors in materials, membrane and environmental science, and every change is tracked so you stay in control of the final text.

You receive the edited file with tracked changes, a clean copy, and a short editor's report listing recurring issues and open questions for you to resolve.

A final language and formatting pass for manuscripts that are already well written and ready to submit or resubmit.

Proofreading is the light-touch option: we correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and typographic slips, check reference and citation formatting against the target journal's style, and make sure figure and table callouts, numbering and captions are consistent. We do not rewrite sentences or change the scientific content.

It suits revised manuscripts going back to reviewers, accepted manuscripts before production, and native-level writers who want an independent read.

Publication-ready figures, schematics and graphical abstracts prepared from your data and sketches.

Good figures carry the paper. We redraw plots from your raw data or existing charts with consistent fonts, colour palettes that survive greyscale printing, and axis labels and units that meet journal requirements. We also build schematics of experimental setups, mechanism diagrams and multi-panel composites, and design graphical abstracts sized for the journal template.

You receive editable source files (SVG, AI or the plotting script) plus export-ready TIFF/PNG/PDF at the required resolution, so revisions after peer review are quick.

One-to-one guidance on journal choice, manuscript strategy, cover letters and responding to reviewers.

Publication consulting is for researchers who want an experienced second opinion before or during submission. We help you match the manuscript to a journal and article type, sharpen the framing of the contribution, draft a persuasive cover letter, plan the response to reviewer reports, and understand policies on authorship, data sharing, preprints and licensing.

Sessions are delivered online and followed by written notes. Consulting is advisory only: it takes place entirely outside the editorial process and has no bearing on how any GSMS journal handles a submission.

   Use the button on any service above, or write to admin@greensus.org. Say roughly how long the manuscript is, what field it is in, and when you would like it back.

   We reply with a price and a date

   We aim to answer within two working days. The quote is fixed, and it names the person or team who will do the work. Nothing is charged and nothing starts until you accept it.

   You send the files

   Your manuscript is treated as confidential, is not shared beyond the people doing the work, and is not used to train anything. We do not keep it once the job is closed and you have confirmed you have the final files.

   You get the work back and decide what to keep

   Edits arrive as tracked changes or editable source files, so every suggestion is yours to accept or reject. Submission to a journal is a separate step that you take yourself, whenever you are ready.
